are u mean that " * " dont wok or abp cant block images .gif ? but it was work with .swf ....
opera12 it last version without webkit.

it does not work in that context (included via style style="display:block;width:600px;height:200px;background:url ), otherwise for normal objects it must work

give a try to opera next (webkit version) and to the last ABP version
