Adblock doesn't block ads, settings don't stick

Post by ryanmm »

I'm running the latest versions of adblock and Firefox, it just doesn't block ads the way it's supposed to. Banner ads, ads on the side of the page, etc are all displayed on any
sites that has ads. On the menu bar it says it's enabled. I've tried uninstalling the extension and reinstalling, uninstalling/reinstalling Firefox, etc. Rebooting doesn't help.
Also when I change any adblock settings they go back to the defaults after closing the browser.

This is on an Asus TF101 running Android 4.2.2. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

What does "sometimes" mean? Do you use for different wifi spots? Or doesn't it block ads on 3G?

It means that whenever it likes block ads...notification message change from ads bocked on to allowing without having acted

I have ES task manager but APB is exception app and TrustGo

Only one wifi spot and not very much 3g use

(My apologies for very bad English)

Same problem here on Android: until a few days ago, ABP said "ads are blocked on WIFI connections" . That was fine for me.
Now it has changed to "Ads on WIFI are going through" ...
Why that? Change of behaviour without user input? My phone is not rooted...

This happens to me on Kindle Fire HD, no input from me & no task managers installed but every so often the setting will change itself to allowing ads.

Same here
Iam only using wifi. Set up is correct, sometimes it works, sometimes not and sometimes it also blocks my internet. "ERR_PROX_CONNECTION_FAILED"

This shit wont work, I'll root my phone and get another adblocker, but one, which is working and not like this shit here!!!

I have my phone rooted, Adblock should block the ads in 3g connections, but I seems that doesn't work.

Please you must fix it

Same with Kindle Fire's Amazon app store, front page usually shows but I have to turn abp off if I want to look further or even download something.

The app is useless on Nexus 7 2012 and Galaxy S 3. It was working briefly than stopped. It's configured properly and says it's blocking but It doesn't block anything in Chrome. If this doesn't work reliably on flagship devices what's the point.

Maybe but for Note 3g and for a year that I have it it works on wifi spectacular!
But I would like a hit from the staff why after any update the adb switch to off :?
