Unable to install

I had Ad-Block Plus installed on my HTC OneX (International version) for a while. About 4 weeks ago, I got an update notification but when I tried to update it, the install button won't work but the cancel button would. I tried at least 10 times on different days, same thing. So I decided to uninstall it completely and reinstall it. Before trying to reinstall, I cleaned the cache. The issue remains.

I wonder if anybody can tell me what the heck is going on and why I can not install ad-block plus?

FWIW, The phone is not rooted.

Was the original abp downloaded from the abp website or from a specific store -(Google play store or Windows store)? I downloaded from Amazon app store but had a notification of an update from abp when I ran the update it said it couldn't install as the file signature was different, I uninstalled the original abp & installed the latest & everything was fine.

It was from AB-P store. I didn't even know that the app is available for download in other stores.
