I am aware that running ABP on a non-rooted device filters ads by routing internet traffic through a proxy, but how does ABP handle it on a rooted system? Does it modify the /etc/hosts file directly, route traffic through a proxy, or both?
Also, does rooted ABP have that data usage bug that non-rooted ABP have?
