Adblock Plus

It seems like ABP is blocking the connection between to update the sprint prl and profile. Disabling filtering allows it to go through but this should not be a necessary step.

I'm using a Nexus 5 running Cyanogenmod 11 M10 which is android 4.4.4 and ABP 1.2.1

Has anyone else had this issue or know of a permanent solution?

I can confirm the same issue. It also screws up MMS in hangouts.

Fixed the MMS problem! Where you set your proxy stuff on your WiFi connection, in the box labeled "Bypass proxy for" enter mms.sprintpcs.com (If you're not Sprint, Google your carrier and the word APN to find out what address it's sending MMS messages to). On a side note, I also have in there mightytext.com so I can send stuff with that app. Just note, that if you enter more than one address in the bypass field, make sure you don't have an automatically inserted space after the comma or the Save button will be greyed out. Don't forget to modify all of the WiFi connections you have ABP configured on. Good Luck!

Same issue while trying to activate Google's Project Fi service, since it's piggy-backing on the Sprint network, so PRL and Profile updates are the first step in activation process.
