Installed ABP with root, still wants me to configure proxy

Post by mario86 »

Hi,

I have installed Adblock Plus for Android on my phone running Cyanogenmod 11 M12. (Cyanogenmod uses SuperSU for superuser access management) During installation, SuperSU asked me whether I allow root access for Adblock Plus. I affirmed this. So far, so good.

However, Adblock Plus still asks me to configure a proxy at port 2020 for my WiFi network.
If I have understood correctly, Adblock Plus uses either a goal system wide filtering, or, if it hasn't root access, a proxy filter for WiFi networks only. (see here) But on my system, Adblock Plus want to use both.
Is this as intended? Or did I misconfigure something?

Regards,
Mario

I had the same problem. I just went into advanced setting by pressing the menu button while in the ABP app, unchecked the proxy box, and toggled ABP back on and it seems to work fine now.

It was fixed for me with the recent 1.3 version of ABP.
