So my GS5 is running a little funky...im on 4.4.4 and would like to uninstall ABP for a bit to narrow things down, but.....
A little help please....?
I want to UNinstall ABP for a moment and check some things, but I am a little scared I may mess something up.
I only have ABP on my WIFI settings, because on Sprint the AP for mobile is grayed out.
I wrote down what my previous "port" was, but not my previous/stock "proxy host name"...? Will this be a problem?
What I did to install ABP on my wifi.....
Settings
Network connections
Wi-fi
Long pressed on my home network
Modify Network Config
Show advanced options
Under PROXY it says "manual" I can't remember did i change it from "none" to "manual".....?
Proxy Host Name......i have typed in "localhost"
Proxy Port......I have 2020
Like I said, I have my old "port" written down, but NOT my old proxy host name (I could have sworn it was localhost also but idk for sure???)
I am on Sprint, could some one please explain how I can safely uninstall ABP properly.
I have read that if you don't change your settings BACK to stock, ABP wont unistall properly, or you may have problems. IDK?
Am I screwed?
Thanks for any help guys
How to safely UNINSTALL ABP for a moment....???
Re: How to safely UNINSTALL ABP for a moment....???
I don't think you can change proxy settings for cellular, and most Wi-Fi networks expect no proxy.
There's a buzzin' in my brain I really can't explain; I think about it before they make me go to bed.
Re: How to safely UNINSTALL ABP for a moment....???
Just take out the proxy at the wireless settings and uninstall ABP. You can re-install it at any time. To take away the proxy alone will not prevent the app from running on your system.

Hey thanks so much guys!
Should I uninstall ABP first, then go into my wifi settings and change things back?
Ultimately, can I actually screw something up if I don't uninstall ABP correctly? Or am I worried over nothing?
Thanks so much.
Also, I see that there is a setting for changing "Proxy" from "manual" to ""none".....I can't remember, did I change this setting too, it is registering "manual" right now.
