How do I authenticate server?

Hey y'all- I am having trouble routing my internet traffic through the adblock app. Let me lay out the steps I am taking.
1. Connected to my local wifi (home)
2. check the box to see advanced settings for my wifi
3. change the proxy to "manual"
4. Proxy host name- change it to "localhost"
5. Proxy Port- change that to "2020"
From here, I cannot save the changes made, I need to "Authenticate Server".
My question is what is the server, and how do I authenticate? I have tried my wifi username and password, but that was not it.
If someone could lead me in the right direction, that would be dope!
