Ad Block Plus not working on rooted Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 T230NU

So, I just rooted my device. I have tested that the root worked with root checker. I installed ABP and it is not blocking ads despite saying that it is. It is also not taking any traffic at all through ABP when I check in settings.
I looked into it and tried to do the configuration settings. ABP isn't telling me what port to put the traffic through, and when I tried "localhost" and port 2020, it made it so no traffic would go through at all.
I've looked online and found no resources to help me. I don't understand why this is not working and would love to get it working ASAP.
