continuing problem

Post by jayd »

Downloaded ABP a couple of nights ago. See no evidence that it is actually working, and no sign that it is even joined up with browser, Firefox. My file manager does show AdBlock as downloaded. In fact, 2wice. However, when I go into settings and scroll looking for apps, AdBlock is nowhere to be seen. So, I need to somehow uninstall whatever is here and start over but, can not find a way to do so.

If you just have the APK downloaded but ABP isn't showing up in your list of apps, click on the APK and install it as you would any other off-store app.

ABP for Android is not "joined up with" any other app: Instead it's a local filtering proxy that doesn't work well.

If you specifically want ad-blocking for Firefox on Android, install the ABP extension for Firefox: It works on both desktop and mobile versions of Firefox.
There's a buzzin' in my brain I really can't explain; I think about it before they make me go to bed.
