Just attempted to put adblock plus onto my Android TV box which I connect to the internet via ethernet...
It does not want to know. Apparently I can only set the proxy on the wifi connection.
This completely defeats the advantages of high speed wired connection...
Has anyone managed to get it working on an ethernet connection?

TL;DR: Ethernet capability is not a standard part of Android, ABP works strictly with standard Android APIs, and there's probably not enough motive to change or fork ABP to be aware of these customizations for recognizing Ethernet connections.
