Samsung Galaxy S5 Manual installation PLEASE HELP

Hey All, I have downloaded the adblock plus app for my phone and it wont automatically install, so I go through the manual installation process of changing the proxy name to localhost, port to 2020, but the save button stays 'greyed' out ? I have tried to put my password in after said procedure but to no avail. do I have to 'root' my phone ? im a bit techno-illiterate, is this an easy thing to do ? any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.
