Needs an update.

Hello, so I always have used this for my phone mainly due to youtube video ads however it doesn't seem to block any ads at all suddenly.
I noticed it started to let a few ads through now and again but still blocked them most of the time it got worse until over the last few months its failed to block all together.

This is with and without the proxy server and with a rooted and non rooted device. I hope this'll be updated as I will gladly donate to whoever does as I don't like using the browsers for youtube or facebook.

Thanks!

Hey MobileUser!

Thanks for reaching out to us.
Could you let us know the device(s) you are using and the Android version(s)?
Unfortunately we don't have any Android developers at the moment, so I will try to replicate the issue and do my best to support you.

Sure thing.

Phone: Samsung Galaxy Ace 4
Android Version: 4.4.4

Shame no one is developing for it, it's not got any competition.

My case it's an RCA tablet can't quite tell what version I never look closely at model builds but for some reason ABP never works on an RCA built android. I want to browse without ads like the ones on Youtube, Roblox, heck even certain gaming apps but I have no choice but to see such ads because RCA tablets oddly don't work with ABP. To add insult to injury when I activate ABP, my network suddenly malfunctions. Yeah I need some assistance for my particular problem. Then again I use a build that cost I dunno less than 200 dollars due to how I live below the poverty level grr wish I wasn't heck I'd just want to earn enough cash each year that is typical for a middle class.

I think it turned out to be too difficult to make this local Web proxy work decently, and that's why Eyeo brought out this custom browser for Android (which, of course, does not block ads in other apps).

Having the same issues on a note 4 rooted running stock rom I installed abp awhile back and it was amazing then it also slowly started to let in app ads back in while on WiFi and now even my browser has them. I use chrome and love the look and feel of it, I tried the abp browser but it seemed very clunky glitchy and slow compared to googles plus it only blocks ads within the browser itself. It's really frustrating that this app uses most of my data up but seems to not do really anything. I tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling which it would work for a day or two like it's suppose to but then be back to a worthless app. I've tried clearing the apps with the ads cache but that didn't seem to help either. I got rid of the app and won't be reinstalling until there is some kind of update to this. And like the other commenter said it's a shame cause you don't really have any competition.

Yeah it worked fine once upon a time, was quite impressive actually it just could do with bringing up to date as my guess is with app and OS updates it's struggled to keep up.

Hey guys!
Thanks for your interest in our ABP app.
It is indeed not so easy to make the local Web proxy work well, but It turned out to be difficult to find developers for Android as well.

@MobileUser: we'll try to find what is happening there.
