ABP isn't working on Kindle Fire - need help :)

Post by kelly123 »

Hi there,

I recently installed ABP on my Kindle Fire (I have the latest OS update running)... the installation worked, but I keep getting a message that Adblock is "waiting for traffic on port 2020"... I don't know if I need to configure this port, or if it's just informing that it's "waiting" (whatever that means).

However, ABP is NOT blocking YouTube ads in my YouTube app when I play videos.

So, my 2 questions are:

1. Do I need to configure port 2020 or is everything ok? If so, how do I do this?

2. Can ABP even block ads on YouTube on a Kindle device?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Thanks

So, if I understand correctly, ABP is not blocking ads on the YouTube app on Android right now.

Does anyone know if it can block ads over Silk or Chrome on Android? So far, I haven't had much luck.

Thanks
