remove link in google homepage

My phone has firefox mobile browser with the home page
http://www.google.com There is a link on the google page to the play store.It is an advert for wifi. see

How do i remove this? I also want rid ofthe gaeilge ad. I tried adding the
https://store.google.com to adblock. I cannot connect to it but the link is still there. On the small phone screen it gets in the way of pasting. An attempt to paste picks up the word store and pastes that

Remove URL from Google we can temporarily hide information from Google Search by filing a URL removal request.

EasyList provides the rules to Adblock Plus and other ad blockers that define what should/shouldn't be blocked.
According to their policy, self promotion such as this one should not be blocked.

That's not an ad. Google just tells you that you can change the display language to Gaeilge (i.e. Irish).

It's not as easy as adding a URL somewhere because you need to create custom filters for hiding elements on the page (see
How to write filters), which filter authors such as EasyList can help you with.
Otherwise, you can give other search engines a try that work better for you.
