Doesnt block syscraper ads ( 160 x600 ) . Found on site www.filehippo.com

Doesn't block anything on www.ghacks.net

Windows 7 SP1 . IE10 .

They are blocked for me.

Could you check how big the file "patterns.ini" is? You should find it under C:\Users\*USERNAME*\AppData\LocalLow\Adblock Plus for IE.

Which filter list are you using? You can check that if you click on the ABP icon in the status bar.

Easylist . Tried Fanboy list . Still doesnt block ads . Fanboy was some 600kb . Now back to Easylist

BTW I forgot to mention mine is Windows 7 SP1 64 bit and yes I have installed 64 bit version of ABP .

Do you see any ad blocking at all? Does it not work just on these sites? Can you please try killing IE and AdblokckPlusEngine.exe process and try again?

Isn't working on any site . Tried your method . Didn't work . Tried uninstalling and reinstalling it . Still didn't work . BTW when I opened task manager for killing the ABP engine process it was taking some 103 mb memory . Isn't that a lot for a addon ?

Well that depends on what the add on does and how it does it, there isn't a "standard memory footprint" for an addon. In this particular case, Adblock Plus has to handle dozens of thousand of filters, meaning it has to use a quite large quantity of memory.
