Download Adblockplusie-1.2

I use AOL Desktop 9.7 which uses IE. I downloaded adblockplusie and proceeded through the install process to finish. My Download files list adblockplusie-1.2. However, it is not listed in my start programs and there is no icon on my desktop. I have no idea if it is working or not. Maybe it does not support AOL. How can I know if it is working?

ABP is starting only together IE.
You should see it as a process in the task manager: AdblockPlusEngine.exe
And you should see the ABP icon on the status bar at the bottom of IE.

If does not work you could uninstall the actual version and try a dev build:

Hello, Folks AOL desktop software 98.2 does NOT use IE anymore

now they use google chrome

so I hope now AD-BLOCK PLUS can now work on something to stop those annoying ads with AOL

Put more clearly, ABP for IE works only with IE itself, not with any other programs that embed the WebBrowser control (the way SlimBrowser does and AOL Desktop once did).
