Sound Stops working ?? Anyone else ?

Hi all,

I am trying to roll this out to 500 desktops.

We are a VMWARE View shop. We use Unidesk to push out our apps.

I tested it on 10 or so IT users' desktops - did a manual install. For some they can no longer hear voice mail messages from outlook.

We are using the standard install - no special lists.. other than the default one. No filters added ( not even sure how to do that in the IE one.. Firefox I know how to ). We are just using the plain install.. nothing else added.. other than unchecking 'allow some non intrusive advertising' and adding one whitelist - Edmunds.com

Yes I know.. ODD..and seemingly not connected.

They uninstall ABP 1.5 for IE and they can now listen to VMM's.

This is not happening to everyone. Im off from work today so I don't have a lot of 1st hand knowledge my apologies.

We are using :

Windows 7 64 bit. ( 10 also ).
IE 11.
ABP for IE 1.5.
Outlook 2013 and 2010.
Bit Defender Antivirus.

Users receive Voice mails via attachments from our local 2013 exchange server. They would play via windows media player as a Wave file.

Do I need to unblock my local phone / exchange servers ?.. that would seem Odd.. isn't ABP just blocking URL's on the internet via a subscribed list ? * ( I Love this app btw )

Sorry I don't have more details.. im not at work atm. Im not sure yet if its ALL audio it stops or just wav files played in WMP.

I obviously cant roll this out company wide if Audio stops on our VMware view machines :p.. /cry.

Sorry.. other peeps on our HD figured it out.. We use Freshdesk.com for our HD.. Any voicemails users leave on our HD is actually played from a url of <company>.freshdesk.com. Just not a local URL.

Why ABP would block anything on our Freshdesk Helpdesk Site.. im not sure. I don't think there are any ads on there. We whitelisted it and it appears all it good. We have one user with sounds issues after the install.. but I think were close to solving it.
