ABP Temporarily stalls IE11 --sh

On HTTPS connections, ie11 will appear to stall and make ie11 appear frozen. It frees up after a while. E.g., log into say amazon, enter a search and ie11 might freeze for about half a minute then it frees up without doing the search.

running w8.1
IE11 run under default config--popup block can be on or off--doesn't matter.
ccleaner.exe 5.14.5839 is running with active monitoring only.

ABP what version ?

try disable all other addons (if any)

properties for the exe file read 1.5.0 --it's the latest update as of 2/24/16

I'll run through the add-ons and see which, if any can be blamed.

Conflicts with other add-ons
- remove / disable any other add-on (in manage add-ons)

clean unnecessary data (cookies, old files after system updates, temp files)

If I disable any or all add-ons other than abp, the problem remains. If I disable only abp add-on, problems ends.

I tested in windows 10, IE 11, no issues here.

I'm in w8.1 . can't run w10 on this machine--Sony isn't supplying driver updates that will allow the w10 update to install.

eventually try disabling temporarily your security software, keep only windows default firewall enabled, test again.
