ABP enabled but not showing up on IE11 today

I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit Dell Inspiron 620S and IE11 Version 11.0.9600.18977 with ABP version 1.6 which has worked fine til today which though shows up as enabled under managed add ons does not display OR block ads on IE 11 browser. Dell has tried to assist without success. Reset IE11 and then uninstalled ABP and resinstalled---still not popping up at lower right of screen and no ads are being blocked. HELP!

Prior reply in March to someone with same issue works----must check the box next to 'allow third party browser extensions' under Tools--Options--Advanced tab--Browsing. IF you check the box which by default is unchecked (or on a reset), ABP will not function even if enabled under managed add-ons. Also when you check the box, unfortunately you cannot access live feed from FOXnews.com via your ISP--so to access those you must uncheck the box but lose ABP function during that time. Dell tech support did not know any of this but one of the ABP experts posted the info about the steps to ensure function of ABP with IE11 in a prior post.
