I tried to do a search for "my filter list", which is a section in the ABP settings, but I got an error stating the terms were too common. WTF! How can this forum effectively if users can't search for settings/functions of the plugin?

Where is the forum for Firefox bug reports? The forum states that the general bug reporting forum has been closed and that users should use the bug reporting forum for each version of ABP. But when I go to the Firefox forum, there doesn't seem to be a bug reporting forum specific to that version.

What's up with that?

The two replies ahead of mine (at this time) are obviously spam! They're not terribly new either. Other questions involve Firefox or IE when this thread is clearly for Maxthon. Makes this forum/project look abandoned, which is worrying.

Would love to see a reply to the previously expressed concerns here about ABP simply not working on Maxthon 5 anymore. Any information or even acknowledgement of the problem would be most helpful.

Thank you.

@Borkzorkorc Hey there! Apologies for the late reply. Thanks a million for your feedback. This actual thread conversation is a global one, so that is why you may see users mention other browers. If you click on other browser threads you will see the Feedback survey thread available on each. Sorry for the confusion. As for ABP not working on Maxthon 5, I will reach out to our dev and QA team to find out more details on what could be happening here and any plans for moving forward. Can you send some example URLs and the filter lists you are using with ABP on Maxthon? You can also reach us via support@adblockplus.org.

Thanks

I use adblock plus, and it is a great extension. This forum on the other hand has problems. When browsing this forum, I have received numerous error messages from the site itself. In addition, someone seems to have posted an unrelated link in this very thread. It is very well hidden, but if you hover your mouse over the second period in that post, you'll see the link. It is possible adspam.

Other than that, the site is set up fine. If I need support, I know where to post. Each forum category is clearly set up.

My experience? Well, on an initial observation: poor. You guys have a serious spam problem. The way to deal with it is in fact known to mankind, so why haven't you dealt with this problem yet? It's not like research needs to be done into how to prevent spam on a phpBB board. C'mon, guys.

We really need a shortcut to start the interception element!

In some video players such as flash player, you can't start the interception element with the mouse. We really need a keyboard shortcut to open the interception element directly!!!! :| :|

I have recently begun getting google ads on visits to ZeroHedge.com even though ABP is on and there are other blocked ads.

When I try to report the issue using the link on the ABP icon, I fill in the info and then when I try to send, I get an error report: 413 Request Entity Too Large/nginx ... which sends me here!

SO.... what's going on? I haven't made any changes in setting and there have been no software updates in Firefox 68 0 2 (i'm delaying the upgrade which always causes changes I hate to deal with) ... this is the only site it happens on and I am unable to stop the google ads via ABP.

Please help! Thank you ...

Hi,

Please send us a screenshot of your ABP filters and custom filters. Also, confirm what ABP version you are currently using on Firefox. You can email us these details at support@adblockplus.org.

Thanks

In version 1.4.0, there appears to be no way to "stop website notification requests" like a can do in chrome browser. A great thing to add would be an option to stop showing cookie request notifications.

These two options would be great features to add.

Hi there,

My experience over the past month or more is that Hotmail/Outlook.com was being slowed significantly by the app, to the point that it is causing errors (sent an email last night, there is no record of it being sent). For some time now I get continuous msgs when trying to open folders in Hotmail where it would take some time to try and open & then indicate either nothing in folder or to try again, or possibly finally open. At times my emails cannot be sent & a msg is relayed that cannot send currently & to try again another time. Very frustrating.

I had previously been using app for some time (& previous version?) without any major issues. I know it is this app because I had no problems operating Hotmail in google chrome. I also disabled this app & then used another one in firefox & no problems opening any folders. So fault is with the app (updated August 2019 I believe), which may have been the time when these issues started.

I hope Adblock Plus can resolve this.
