Hello!
I personally hate sites with yelling flashy banners all over the place but I think one non-flashy banner is acceptable.
I do own my own site so maybe it is because I understand the costs behind it that I would like to allow some adds (and maybe I am not neutral in the debate?). I just don't like the 'trusted' adds way adblockplus is going. This smells like adblockplus is doing it for the money theirselves. It's a little bit of hypocrisy, no? If they wanted the 'public' to decide on what non-intrusive is, wouldn't it be better to allow for a sort of rating system for a site? Sites with one simple banner in a sidebar would then be allowed and sites that are just full of banners would get their adds blocked..
Is there any way to go on certain sites and just keep one add so that the owners of the site get some cost-minimalisation?
allow for some adds (without hypocrisy)
Re: allow for some adds (without hypocrisy)
you could try the acceptable ads way
