Can only some ad positions be whitelisted as acceptable ads?

As a publisher can you apply to have only some of your ad positions be whitelisted as acceptable ads?

For example, if you had only specific positions that meet the criteria only those would be whitelisted but other positions would still be blocked.

i believe the ones that are considered acceptable ads (assuming you applied) will be unblock while the ones not considered acceptable are blocked this scenario happens on different sites such as lifehacker and others where only part of the ads are blocked but others are not
