I have not tested it across different sites, but here is an example: http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news ... -wildlife/
Currently, the "Sponsored by Shell" icon at the top of this sponsored news story is being blocked. Since the "ad" in question is not only unintrusive, but also an important piece of information (ironically, an indicator that the entire news story is an ad), I think it should be considered an "acceptable ad".
Sponsored news story indicator is being blocked
Re: Sponsored news story indicator is being blocked
Shouldn't the site submit it? rather than a random user "I think..."
Re: Sponsored news story indicator is being blocked
Sorry, I looked around all the different forums related to ABP and the lists, and this seemed like the most appropriate place to post this. Obviously NatGeo and other news sites aren't going to submit this themselves -- they are probably perfectly OK with adblocker users not seeing that a news story is sponsored. Is there a more appropriate forum to post this somewhere?
