Help getting website added to whitelist

Post by 8ball »

Hi

I have just got AdSense on my website, I have side adverts (1 side) on homepage and header and/or footer on forum - is it possible to get my site added to the whitelist so I can get rid of the "you have adblock installed...etc etc" message I have popup when users with ABP enabled visit?

see below the layout

Thanks

Code: Select all

Yeah, if your ads comply with the Acceptable Ads criteria you can apply for whitelisting at https://acceptableads.com/en/solutions/ ... publishers. Some changes may be necessary though (e.g. the ads are currently not labelled as such yet) so please make sure that your ads comply with the criteria before applying.

On the topic of anti-adblocking: It'd be great if you could remove the anti-adblock measures prior to applying for the whitelisting as well or otherwise mention it as a comment when filling out the application form so that we can give you further guidance on that.

thanks for the advice

I've taken a look and I'm unsure if I pass, I wondered if anyone here could take a look and tell me what doesn't comply, it looks like it complies? but Iam unsure
I have added the title Advertisement above them too.

this is what it looks like from the fold on my 1080p desktop screen

Don't worry… after you apply we'll work together with you to get the ads whitelisted (see also How can I get my website whitelisted?). So I'd suggest just go ahead and fill out the form.

Also, just out of personal curiosity: Why the vertical scrollbar next to each ad?

They are HTML "boxes" from a Portal I use as my homepage on an SMF forum, its Simple Portal, its out of date but I cant update it due to too many add-ons wrecking the PHP code over time, the 'Find & Replace' technique doesn't work - I've even tried manually doing it (as I have succesfully done so with other add-ons using an HTML editor and Filezilla), they seem to do it automatically?? the box should fit the content but it never does with google ads, even if they are much much smaller than the box the slider remains>??? I wished I could get rid of it, unfortunately i dont have any REAL coding skills, I just dabble

it does allow PHP boxes...I dunno if it would work in one of those though??

thanks
