Red counter in ABP icon

I have noticed lately that the little red counter at the top of Safari really spins and counts up into the thousands when I am on Yahoo Finance page. I wonder what going on with this?
Anybody else notice anything like this counter going crazy?

- provide the exact link of the page (and what localization of yahoo ?)
- what filter lists are you using ?

http://finance.yahoo.com this is the page and when you scroll down the counter really starts spinning. I don't know about filter lists or what localization of yahoo is. I am using Safari on iMac.

click ABP icon, options, you'll see the enabled filter lists.
localization ==> I mean you are in US, or France or etc.

I tried it using easylist, easyprivacy, but in chrome (I cant test a mac system) and I get no issue (I mean there are maximum 100 hits on counter but no thousands)

However you should go into console and see there which request is repeatedly logged. Then post it here.

I'm in the US and ABP is enabled on the site. In the activity monitor Safari seems to use the most cpu time. My counter goes into the thousands on Yahoo but no problems on other sites.

follow the indications and provide the requested info (lists, what's logged in console)

What's console? Where are these logs at?

I noticed that this problem doesn't happen when I use Opera browser. So it's something in Safari.

same issue here.. counter is continuous and cause system instability.

counter is at 34325++ counting

for me it seems to occur most often on https://www.yahoo.com/news , I've not noticed other pages.
