The Most Ads Blocked on a website

Post by HeyNoMoreAds »

I just started using AdBlocker and I went to Wired dot com and I notice about 1300 ads blocked. That seems like an amazing amount of ads. Whats the most amount of ads you have ever seen blocked on a particular site?

Thanks.

Mapx,

OS 10.9.1
safari 7.0.1
adblock 1.7.4.1111
and I think all the default lists enabled.

Thanks for the interest and thanks Monzta for that thread link.

I also have a whopping 1990 ads blocked on wired.com but only when I disabled AdBlock (the other one), Ghostery and JavaScript Blocker.

Maybe ABP is falsely identifying other elements as ads.

P.S.

It's JavaScript Blocker which is containing whatever it is that ABP is flagging as adverts. With JSB on, there are only four ads. AdBlock (the other one) doesn't see any ads even with everything else disabled and I should say that with everything disabled, I don't see anything that even looks like an ad apart from a couple of promotions for Wired which oughtn't really count as they are probably static and on their local server.

Yes, but there was actually a bug that made the number of ads blocked on the current page go up to over 1k on some websites, as in the screenshot posted above.

However, that bug was fixed several months ago, while Adblock Plus for Safari were still in beta.

I'm pretty sure this is a bug, but I'm on Amazon and it's on 9000, and still going up...

I'm sure everyone is reading it wrong. I think you are all reading the total amount. The max I get per page is 20-25.

I'm getting 10 more ads blocked per second, and right now I'm at 85000. No joke.
