No, you don't. Perhaps you should consult this page: https://web.archive.org/web/20100730165 ... apple.com/

Developer of Adblock Plus for Safari here. Some facts for clarification:
  • Safari 5.0 is the first version with extension support, however it needs to be enabled in the settings first, but more importantly it misses some APIs added in Safari 5.1, which Adblock Plus and similar extensions rely on.
  • Adblock Plus 1.8.12 only works with Safari 7+ due to a bug, which has been fixed in the development build and will be fixed in Adblock Plus 1.9 (to be released next week) as well.
  • Adblock Plus (except for 1.8.12) is used to work fairly well with Safari 5.1, though not officially supported. But we strongly recommend to either update Safari or if necessary OS X to a more recent version, or if that it's not an option to use Firefox or Google Chrome instead.
If you are on OS X Leopard 10.5, the best you can do is getting Firefox 16 which is the latest version of Firefox that supports OS X 10.5, and Adblock Plus 2.4.1 which is the latest version of Adblock Plus that support Firefox 16.

If you are on OS X Snow Leopard 10.6, I recommend to get the latest version of Firefox or Google Chrome, with the latest version of Adblock Plus, for the best browsing experience. Alternatively, feel free to use Safari 5.1 with Adblock Plus at your own risk. But note that you currently would need the development build.

Doesn't work. It's only for Intel-based Macs, whereas mine is PowerPC.
