I downloaded AdblockPlus for Safari to my iPhone and it seems to be Ok but I see that I can install something, an add-on maybe, for the native Safari. When I click on "Install for Safari" nothing seems to happen. My phone is on iOS 8 as I'm still nervous about iOS 9 and issues reported. Am I missing something here? Any help will be appreciated.

no, you can't install ABP for safari on your iphone.
