Safari-only issue

Post by davej147 »

I'm seeing an issue only in Safari - not Chrome, FF or IE, and am hoping someone can shed some light on it. I've purchased a filter stack for one of my websites, but when items are filtered in a browser that's running Adblock Plus, the items are all cropped. I've reached out to the developer, but he seems stumped. You can see the issue by going to http://www.barz-stacks.eu/stacks/conten ... -filter-2/ and scrolling down to the Example with Five silhouettes. Then, select any of the blue filters above them, and you'll see what I mean. To the best of my knowledge, this is not happening in other browsers. Any ideas on how he/I can fix the issue?

- your details ? op.system version, safari version, ABP version ?
- what filter lists are enabled ?
- be sure to repeat the tests with other browsers enabling the same filter lists in chrome, firefox
- you could also upload screenshots with and without ABP (use imgur.com for uploading and then post here the links)

Thank you for your reply. I don't see where I have any options for filters within Adblock Plus. When I pull up the extension in Safari, it simply states: "No Settings" My only option is to uninstall it. As for the details of my system: Mac OS 10.11.2, Safari 9.0.2, Chrome 47.0.2526.106, Firefox 40.0. As for Windows, I've looked at using IE 10 and 11 and in Chrome, all under Windows 10. The only browser that is cutting off the images is Safari. I will grab some screenshots tomorrow to post. But, I'm pretty confident if you pull up the link above and then click on any of the filters, you'll see exactly what I mean.

Thanks again!

if you are using adblock plus (and not the other adblock extension) you can click ABP icon, options and see the filter lists enabled.
Do the same in ABP for chrome to see what lists are there enabled.
Then, keeping the same lists (and tell me which ones) test again in safari and in chrome.

(I can't test personally in safari)

If even with the same lists (and only if you are using adblock plus) the issue is still present, well, you can file an issue on the bug tracker

Excellent - thanks you! In both cases, the following are enabled (I am using Adblock Plus):
Adblock Warning Removal List (Updated today)
EasyList (Updated today)

In Chrome, I turned Malware off so that the lists would be identical, and then checked both browsers again.

I have not added any of my own filters, no sites are whitelisted, and Allow some non-intrusive advertising is not checked.

Same results - In Safari (only), this is what I see after filtering the Board Members on the following page
