Wrong filter found in Easylist

Post by czaras »

hi

Using Safari with Adblock Plus and Easylist enabled you can't click on button "Get this torrent" at https://thepiratebay.se/torrent/9558467 ... a_PublicHD
It's strange because using Chrome and also Easylist enabled the button is clickable. Of course before test I've updated both list. Please could you help with this? It concerns probably every torrent website at https://thepiratebay.se/

This will be much easier to diagnose if you can reproduce this in Firefox, because the Firefox version of ABP has a sophisticated logger.

It looks like ABP for Chrome, Safari, and Opera has a function that logs filtered and whitelisted requests, and matched hiding filters, to the DevTools console, so in Safari, look in the console for more information: jsdoc/adblockpluschrome/global.html#logRequest

In Firefox the button is clickable. I don't know what exactly you want me to do in Safari to obtain more details. Can you give me more explanation? The link you provided is not clear for me.

@lewisje, the jsdoc page you linked above is only for opera / chrome.

It's the link on this page that says "Chrome, Opera, and Safari extension": en/documentation_advanced#code-documentation

Also, I just checked, and this isn't the forum for the special ABP for Safari on iOS9, it's for the ABP for Safari on OS X, which was based on ABP for Chrome.

I know, but:
Logs a request to the devtools panel.

is available only in chrome / opera
For Chrome and Opera, we decided to implement “blockable items” as a developer tools panel
development-builds/bringing-blockable-i ... ools-panel
