Starting with new safari 10, ABP extention is causing very high cpu usage. I have confirmed it it goes away when I disable extension. I have ruled out other conflicting extensions and tested with only ABP enabled. Did not have issue with previous safari version. Using Sierra (10.12) with Safari 10.0
Reproduce. Facebook is one of easiest. Simply have ABP enabled and scroll down wall and watch scrolling struggle as cpu spikes to like 100%. Disable ABP and repeat and see that it's smooth again.
Only filter list used is Easylist default. No custom or special lists in use. Tried with both experimental content blocker enabled/disabled. I suspect it's just a compatibility issue with safari 10 that needs fixing.
Tested with latest version:
1.13.3
I also took spin dumps if you'd find that kind of dev information useful (basically what safari is actually spending all cpu on with your extension enabled). That dump is way too large to dump here, not even pastebin would take it
