Adblock Plus

I cannot find ABP in my apps on my Mac 27" desktop. I may have deleted it. I now get a message from ABP on booting that I don't understand (all I am able to do is close it). I tried installing the app (extension?) but a fault prevents that.
How may I solve these issues please?

ABP for Safari is an extension, not an app; you may have malware claiming to be ABP.
