Adblock Plus

Hello everybody,

I'd like to ask two things please:
- I had AdBlock as an extension in Safari, now I have it as an app in my iMac. I did uninstall the AdBlock extension and install the Engine and the Icon, is that correct ?
- When I shut down the computer the app sometimes crashes and the report be sent to Apple. Is there a fix for that ?

I think you may be confused between the Adblock Plus extension (from https://adblockplus.org/, which this forum discusses) and the only slightly-related AdBlock extension (from https://getadblock.com/).

It sounds like you've got the AdBlock application installed: that's not the piece of software that this forum discusses. You may have previously had the Adblock Plus extension (which this forum does discuss) installed, but the way that Apple supports content filtering extensions has changed abruptly, from a user point of view, with Safari 12, and that may've led to your installing a different thing than you intended because the similarity in the names and functions is also confusing. (I'm not sure it'll help more, but see also my point 5 in forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=59484.)
