Safari 12 YouTube.com videos and embeds play extremely fast

Since updating to Safari 12 (on macOS 10.13.6) and the new Adblock Plus app, all videos on youtube.com play extremely fast, through to the end as soon as I hit play. Disabling Adblock Plus on youtube.com fixes this.

However, embedded videos on other sites exhibit the same behavior. So I need to disable Adblock Plus on each site with an embed.

Any thoughts? Anyone else experiencing this?

If not turn off the new ABP on Youtube and using Safari 12, I have a serious lag issue when I click FullScreen or return to normal. This issue does not occur When I using 1Block which using the safari content block as well.
