why \w not work

Post by Guest »

I try to block some divs, sth like smallbox, span_1, span_2, rightmenu, rightcontent, rightconten_top and so on.
but I must write (smallbox|spane_1|...)
if it is (s(\w)+|r(\w)+|...)
plus would tell me the page is blocked by (...)
why? maybe \w is illegal?

If one of your filters matches the URL of the site, then the entire site is blocked. If you do not want this then disable "Site Blocking" under Adblock's Options menu.

thx
last hour I realize the reason , but i don't know site blocking could solve it.
however I found plus only hide the ads because the process plus loaded the webpage is so.
why not to remove those?

Check the "Support Website" feature under Adblock's Options menu. If it isn't enabled for all sites or the site is not listed then it should remove the ads. The only type that can't be removed but are hidden instead are DIV based ads which the normal Adblock can't block.
