Adblock Plus

The problem: ads look like this in Firefox 33.0.2 running Adblock Plus 2.6.5 with the site http://www.apkmirror.com whitelisted (http://i.imgur.com/rivdlt1.png):



My observations:
1. The ads are responsive AdSense ad units (not regular ones), which may be important for the diagnosis.
2. Adblock Plus not disabled everywhere, just this site.
3. If I disable Adblock Plus everywhere or disable the add-on, the ads load fine.
4. If I restart the browser with the site open, it'll load the ads fine when it restores tabs after restart. However, after refreshing the tab, the ads will get messed up again.

I conclude that the issue is with Adblock Plus somehow blocking an element or elements on a whitelisted page or rearranging them which confuses the AdSense code and it serves responsive ads possibly without knowing the area it's allowed to serve in anymore (or with an area that doesn't match the real area and is much smaller).

Any ideas or fixes?

no malware, I can reproduce it, so probably it's the issue MonztA posted above

This is still an issue.

Additionally, I've now pinpointed this bug being the cause of a similar issue on another site of ours with similar symptoms that ends up blocking DFP ad placements. Looks like there's a race condition somewhere, so sometimes the ads load and sometimes none load.

Again, this only happens when ABP for Firefox is disabled for a given site. Disabling the whole plugin fixes the issue.

Can we expect a resolution any time soon?

Whats the exact problem regarding the ads not being disabled on above site? i have also visited and disable adblock but the ads still appears , however as far as malware is concerned i dont think its the issue.

It's about the bug MonztA indicated above, still not fixed.

What can you do ?
1. switch from easylist to "EasyList without element hiding" from https://easylist.adblockplus.org/en/
2. open blockable items list, see in the list the hiding filters (only those in red starting with ##), right click 1 by 1, disable them.
Refresh the page (or pages because on various pages there are various filters) and disable other hiding filters if appear others.
3. use chrome + ABP ==> no issues like this 1 for firefox.
