is there no way to stop these yavli ads on other websites also?
you could use peerblock to block the ip address for all yavli domains

Digitaljournal.com, which was previously blocked still runs Yavli, bypassing ABP

I just noted that hngn's ads had been previously blocked.

Add http://townhall.com/columnists/michelle ... s-n1943876 to the Yavli infestation, serving ads from http://lirte.org/

Neither of these solutions worked for me unfortunately. These ads are especially awful because often the images they use to represent each article are especially irritating e.g. revolting medically related or girls or couples in deliberately provocative poses and/or clothes. I wouldn't complain so much about the latter if people looking over my shoulder didn't too but it's just embarrassing when people ask what you're looking at and it's just Gamespot or something!
Anyone got any other bright ideas? I found an article about using Adblock for these but it's from 2013, it's about the old version and the URLs mentioned are not those listed here so I doubt it'll work now (I haven't bothered trying as the original Ablock back then is a lot different from ABP these days.)
Cheers guys.

Just FTR, the only relevant extension known as "Adblock" is not related to ABP; it was developed separately and just happens to use ABP filter lists. Both that extension and ABP had been around for a while even in 2013, and the advice given then is relevant now (I think the only change to ABP syntax was the addition of element-hiding whitelists, which are not used to try to block these ads).

Now there was an old Firefox extension called "Adblock" and that's what ABP was forked from, but nobody has used that old Adblock since about 2007.
There's a buzzin' in my brain I really can't explain; I think about it before they make me go to bed.
