Already tried :
1)the HOSTS file
2)GreaseMonkey http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/66224 to

OK, sorry about my earlier post  , it's working now...however I dunno what or which did the trick :?:

I did the following:
1) HOSTS
127.0.0.1 http://www.cpalead.com
127.0.0.1 72.3.221.161
127.0.0.1 208.94.241.218
127.0.0.1 cpalead.com
127.0.0.1 cpalock.com
127.0.0.1 www.cpalead.com
127.0.0.1 www.cpalock.com
127.0.0.1 adscendmedia.com
127.0.0.1 www.adscendmedia.com

2) I already have GreaseMonkey and I installed http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/66224 and I added
a)http://pornimghost.com/*
b)http://*.pornimghost.com/*
under CPALeadRemover (which I didn't do earlier, maybe that's why it wasn't working earlier).

I have the same problem with the file host server megashares. Last night i entered and for my surprise i got a damn Ooops!

It looks like you have Adblock or other ad blocking software enabled. In order to keep the content of this website free we must display advertisements on it. If you want to view the content of this website the author wishes that you disable Adblock or any other ad blocking software you may have before browsing the website. This message will go away once the software is disabled and you press the "Back" button.
How to Disable Adblock:
In right hand corner of Firefox, click on the ABP icon, and uncheck "Enable Adblock Plus".

At first i can see the normal site but it quickly move or annoyed by the message above. I tried grease monkey but didn't help.

Hey LM2008,
I've tried every solution mentioned on this board among other sites. The only way I got it to work was with Ad Muncher. Like you, I've been using megashares.com and it worked flawlessly. No need for any addons or host file mods. Just install ad muncher it will work on any browser. http://www.admuncher.com/.
To be honest, I'm surprised it worked. haha.
Good luck!

Megashares changed again the thing, now is really hard and a survey need to be done. I was skipping the cpalead annoying page pressing Stop in the browser when the download page loaded, but now i can't because it seems the cplead page load first if detect adblocker or something similar and not merely at the top (hidding) the real page.

Mate, I'm using it right now and its fine with ad muncher. Just make sure you disable all other apps/etc like adblock plus. All you need it ad muncher and it will not load the survey overlay on the megashare page. It won't even redirect to cpalead because it cannot detect it. cpalead, as far as i know, only redirects if you are using adblock plus. Have you tried ad muncher?

The problem with Ad Muncher is that is windows only, you can block it with AdBlock Plus, YesScript and Policy Manager: forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5349

I found this solution to the cpalead.com /cpalock.com problem for FanBoy:

forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=4856&start=0

Is there any chance of getting it included in the EasyList+EasyPrivacy subscription? I am on Linux, not Windows so AdMuncher is not a solution. If you look at the index.html page for http://www.rapidit.info/ you see:

http://www.rapidit.info/tynll.js

then right below it, it hangs on this one:

http://cpalead.com/adblock.php?pub=32902

I am going to have to handle these ad pushers /trackers in my blocking hosts file at SecureMecca.com / HostsFile.org because of these problems somehow. Either I am going to have to remove them or put them in the header section commented out. What a pain. They will probably just be removed. If you have to disable ABP but are using my PAC filter or a blocking hosts file you will be able to stop the http://www.histats.com / s10.histats.com tracking service. I don't block the adblock pattern in the PAC filter but it would be nice to know ALL of the domains affected by this problem. so we can give exclusions for all of them at one time.

I Have completely removed CPA lead.

Right. First I edited the hosts file

adding:

Code: Select all

127.0.0.1 http://www.cpalead.com
127.0.0.1 cpalead.com
127.0.0.1 72.3.221.161
127.0.0.1 208.94.241.218
127.0.0.1 cpalead.com
127.0.0.1 cpalock.com
127.0.0.1 www.cpalead.com
127.0.0.1 www.cpalock.com
127.0.0.1 adscendmedia.com
127.0.0.1 www.adscendmedia.com
to the file.

I then added

Code: Select all

and

Code: Select all

cpalead.com
to adblock

Finally I downloaded

Code: Select all

http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/66224
For Greasemonkey
and added

Code: Select all

http://*
to my included sites, I now get no CPAlead messages on any site. If you find a site post it on here.
