Blocking legitimate images due to image title wording

Post by derekmoore »

Hi

We are having complaints from clients and customers that they cannot see our images.

After investigation we have discovered that this is because the legitimate historical image titles happen to have words like advertising in them and are therefore being blocked

A typical URL is as follows

http://www.prints-online.com/-product/1 ... rints.html

Can you please advise us on what course of action you are taking please to correct your service which is preventing access to our sites. We do not have any advertising on our sites.

Kindest thanks

the "bad" filter is

Code: Select all

- fast fix: you should rename those pics
- slow fix:
go to easylist forum: http://forums.lanik.us/
report the issues
wait for the easylist authors to see the thread
when the fix will be done you (and your users / clients) have to wait other 5-7 days for the automatic updating of the lists in ABP

Thanks - I have replaced "advertisement" with "ad" and that seems to have worked around this problem this program has caused
