try a different approach:

add other useful subdomains (like those above
www.wp.pl, dot.wp.pl ) using @@ (whitelisting those without ads)
all the others will be blocked

will whitelist again those crap subdomains.
As I said, see what useful subdomains you need and add them as @@ (whitelisted subdomains)

and so on, it depends what subjects are you interested, whitelist only those subdomains

That has to do with the keyword-extraction for the
faster filter-matching algorithm implemented in 2010: Unfortunately, neither "wp" nor "pl" is long enough (at least three alphanumeric characters, bordered at each side by either a nonalphanumeric non-keyword or the special pipe | character, which delimits the ends of a filter, or the separator-wildcard ^ character).
Don't let this discourage you: It's just a suggestion to not type woefully inefficient filters like
*ad* as your custom filters.
