Code: Select all

ebay.de###rtm_html_1527
Removes the empty space and tightens up the layout a bit.

To make that rule I used the Element Hiding Helper

en/elemhidehelper

I'm guessing you are a German user, are you using the "EasyList Germany" subscription ? If not get it from

en/subscriptions

Once you have it you can report unblocked ads and empty space in the following German forum:

http://forums.lanik.us/viewforum.php?f=90

P.S. If you wait I'm pretty sure the rule will be added to EasyList Germany (if it is not taken care of already).

I swear I saw the iframe on that site.. I must be seeing things

Shouldn't this be enough?

Code: Select all

ebay.de##.vi-d-pad

If you look through eBay (or old ebay related posts) you'll see precedent for "rtm_html_" rules.

ebay.de###rtm_html_225[style="height: 265px; width: 300px; overflow: hidden; display: block;"]
ebay.de###rtm_html_226[style="margin-bottom: 15px; height: 265px; width: 300px; overflow: hidden; display: block;"]
^^
From EasyList Germany.

I'm not really sure but I think those "rtm_html_" rules were risky some time ago. That's why the 2 present filters are so specific.

When Rick was maintaining EasyList I suggested quite a few ""rtm_html_" rules, some "rtm_html_" elements are / were used for legit purposes whereas others were used for ads. However after adding

Code: Select all

ebayrtm.com/rtm?r
Or similar, most of them became redundant.

Code: Select all

ebay.de##.vi-d-pad
Seems to achieve the same result but I like to select the outermost element when possible and I also remembered my numerous posts regarding eBay ads

At the end of the day the space is gone & someone learned of the EHH so I think we are all good :D
