Central Filter List

I'd like to be able to set the filter list to something the %sysvol%. It could then be maintained/administered in a central location and AD replication would distribute it to all sites automatically.

Does ABP accept file: URIs? (I guess this would presume that the system volume is the same on all systems, like C:\)
Anyway, why would you do this, instead of setting a subscription URL to be somewhere in your intranet?
