Does this browser also allow for adult sites to be filtered out? Or is it simply an adblocker?

it's firefox browser with ABP addon integrated.

Not sure what you want to achieve with this browser. In the end it is just Firefox where the only addon I can use is Adblock Plus. So why should I not use Firefox original with endless addons to choose from?
In respect of the app without Firefox I gave up to use it. Many problems and almost no releases. The project might be dead.

Pretty slow, needs much faster rendering, and needs support for javascript, i understand this is still and early beta build so there are things bound to be broken, buggy, or missing, will keep on device for any future updates and improvements and additions, Device: Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 SM-T700.

Hello and sorry that you're having that much trouble with Adblock Browser. While I would personally agree that it could be just a bit faster with rendering and scrolling, I cannot reproduce javascrip issues. Our Browser is based on Firefox mobile and javascript is just always enabled:
