When using Adblock Browser 1.3.2 on iPad with latest iOS 9.3.2 the website

Code: Select all

https://www.heise.de
is taking nearly every visit very long, if not forever to load.

The problem also occurs with the Weblock proxy app. I tried isolating it by disabling parts of the blocked trackers but can't seem to locate the source.

Can anybody help in finding the solution to this problem?

Hello,

as far as I understand I have no other options than to white- and blacklist pages in Adblock Browser - unlike the add-on. Can you tell me how to fix it in Adblock Browser or Weblock?

the whitelisting filters you see in easylist forum are for avoiding the site to "detect" the use of adblockers.
I can't test for iOS browser, so, I don't know how to operate such browser.
See if you have some custom filters feature.

Anyway, it could be an issue only for iOS, so report the issue on the bug tracker:

That the filters are for avoiding the ad-blocker detection, I already did understand.

I hope that this issue somehow can be resolved.

Does anybody else have ideas?

Hey Starhowl!

Apologies for the delay.
You can simply try to whitelist that site by (whilst being on the page you want to whitelist) simply selecting the Adblock symbol at the bottom of the page bar, then de-select 'Ad Blocking on this website'. This will automatically enter that website into your custom filter whitelists. If you want to try and resolve the bigger issue, then I need to know the exact device to see if it is a device related problem. Otherwise, the fact that you still have issues with Webblock too, would mean more that you have some other underlying issue as apposed to it purely being a ABP Browser issue. Maybe you can see if you experience the same issue on Chrome for example? If you do, then you need to look at repairing other issues with the ipad.

Cheers,
