iOS 10 Browser Greetings and Icon On Lock Screen

Since upgrading to iOS 10, the Addblock Plus Browser is placing a "Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening" on the stop/switch app screen and an icon on the lock screen. The app should not be running in background to do this. Before I delete the app, is there any way to turn this off. It is unacceptable.
