Adblock Plus

ABP works intermittantly.

No other plugins present. No excuses.

Works sometimes, once or twice, then fails to filter. Then comes back. This is repetative testing on exactly the same URL and page.

Something toggling in an unpredictable way.

iOS version ? ABP version ? example URL / page ?

Did you try the adblock browser for iOS ?

I also have this issue and tried the browser (which I shouldn't have too do) and had ads on both.
