CCleaner Cookie Cleaning Resets ABP

After updating Windows 10 (64-bit) to the Anniversary Update and installing the ABP extension in Edge I've found running Cookie cleaning in the Microsoft Edge section of CCleaner resets ABP to use EasyList. I was using Fanboy Ultimate List as my preferred list until extra lists can be used without the current limitation. I tried excluding the ABP cookie in CCleaner but that didn't work. Unchecking Cookies in the Edge cleaning section of CCleaner stops this. The same happens if I run PrivaZer. Is this a known bug? Can we expect a fix?

Thanks.

probably not.. might be the belief that the cookie cleaners should be addressed.

annoying because we beleave that we excluding AdBlock pus Edge cookie. However, regardless so, AdBlock plus settings in Edge get cleared and easylist automatically pulled from the server evertime.

fact with CCleaner is that no cookies files shown to be deleted although using this feature causes issue.

May be considered a problem with the Cookies cleaners.

However, for instance with CCleaner, just doing only the Edge cookies cleaning, after excluding the Edge AdBlock Plus cookie. CCleaner lists absolutely nothing for cookies that have been removed. However Edge AdBlock Plus, still becomes wiped, and only Easylist entry automatically gets placed back and downloaded.

Excluding Edge cookies cleaning, Edge AdBlock Plus settings remains in-tact.

Then most likely a bug with PrvaZer also.

The "current limitation" is on the total number of filters, not the number of subscriptions; I have discovered that several lists do work together (Fanboy Ultimate by itself is probably so big that another significant list cannot be used alongside it): forum/viewtopic.php?p=156641#p156641

I only have a problem with that filter [or any other filter or combination of filters] is after a run CCleaner or PrivaZer.

Sorry, I was commenting on a tangential issue that was covered in another thread; more relevantly for this OP, CCleaner is probably deleting all LocalStorage for Edge, whether from extensions or from websites, and this is what CCleaner did with Chrome until Piriform figured out that it needed to distinguish between the two (but I don't know whether the distinction will be so easy with Edge).

The way to distinguish between extension and website Local Storage in Chrome is to notice that the filenames inside Local Storage begin with the scheme followed by an underscore (and end with .localstorage for main files and .localstorage-journal for journalling files): For extensions, it's "chrome-extension_", and for websites, it's "http_" or "https_"; it doesn't look like Edge has a similar scheme.

There is light at the end of the tunnel, at least PrivaZer has created a fix.
