I use Privoxy with my ABP when browsing the web. It makes surf pretty clean. I started this Topic to say the following: "I think privoxy and ABP should get together and compare notes. I've tested this out running by chaining Privoxy with squid as well. It has its quarks. Which could be fixed by a turn prvixoy on and off like a light switch. Food for thought.

I don't know how a browser extension could modify Privoxy, or vice-versa; also, the two work in very different ways, although there is an "adblock2privoxy" program that converts ABP lists into Privoxy rules as well as it can.
