Hi,
lots of good websites rely on ads to earn money.
So currently I have a problem - I want to support them, but I still don't like the ads.
Solution: How about changing the blocking algorithm?
Load all the annoying ads, and the Webserver tracks them as "viewed" - but do not display them to the user?
Technical solutions can be:
- reduze size to 1 pixel
- move them out of viewpoint
- add a lightweight browser emulation in between the real browser and the webserver, and let this puppet make all the filtering stuff
Best Regards,
Andrea
Feature to enable view tracking
Re: Feature to enable view tracking
As has been said numerous times in response to this common request, that would constitute view-fraud and leave users completely vulnerable to malvertising, which is why ABP doesn't do that.
There's a buzzin' in my brain I really can't explain; I think about it before they make me go to bed.
